FESWA London ATELIER

Based in the heart of London’s jewellery quarter, Vertice visits the studio of Feswa.

Born in Stockholm, Sweden designer Felicia Swartling is the brains (and hands) behind the emerging jewellery label. Having discovered her love for the craft during her foundation year in Sweden, the Central Saint Martins graduate continued to hone her skills in London. The designer is now split between the two countries, with a portion of the collection being designed and made here, in her London studio.

Feswa seeks to go beyond simply creating beautiful objects. Aiming to change the way jewellery is perceived, Feswa questions the preconceptions of what jewellery is.

These ornaments are much more akin to small sculptures than your typical piece of jewellery, with part of the structure acting as a stand for display for when the item is not worn. The pieces are meticulously crafted by hand as Swartling continues to explore various techniques.

Working primarily with silver, Feswa puts focus on carefully selecting the right materials to sit along side her raw yet delicate metal work. The raw silver sits alongside precious freshwater pearls.
